Pursuant to the Public Procurement Law, the Procurement Department (PD) has the following duties and responsibilities:
To ensure that public procurement be carried out in the most efficient, effective, transparent and fair use of public funds and resources.
To ensure the integrity and responsibility of persons who conduct or are involved in any PP activity.
To promote equal treatment and an open PP market and to create an institutional culture among public bodies that is based on professionalism and not influenced by personal interests.
To enforce public procurement rules that are already based on principles of transparency, competition, equal treatment and non-discrimination.
The Procurement Office currently consist of two officers who perform the duties and obligations under the job description, in compliance with the mandate given to it.
