The Organizing Council held its latest meeting about preparations for the 5th anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence

Today, the Organizing Council for Kosovo’s 5th Anniversary of Independence held its latest meeting, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Hajredin Kuçi, who is also the President of this Council.

In the meeting, in which the mayors of municipalities in Kosovo participated, they discussed work done up to now and other preparations which need to be done, with regard to observing Independence Day in the Republic of Kosovo.

Members of the Organizing Council, responsible for organizing special ceremonies reported about work done up to now.
On this occasion, they emphasized that by the start of next week, all planned preparations must be completed and the final program must be ready. It was noted that everything will be finished, so that the fifth anniversary of independence is observed in a dignified and majestic manner.

The main activities will be a parade of KSF units in the center of Prishtina, and the holding of two ceremonies. On February 15, it is planned to hold a ceremony for the 43rd anniversary of the founding of the University of Prishtina. Meanwhile, on February 16, it is planned to hold the main ceremony marking the 5th anniversary of Independence, and there will be a concert of the Kosovo Philharmonic orchestra.
The Organizing Council previously also decided that besides celebrations at the central level marking the fifth anniversary, Kosovo’s municipalities would also organize a series of activities.

In all schools in Kosovo, on February 15, the first hour will be dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Republic of Kosovo.

After homage is paid in all municipalities at the graves of national martyrs, solemn ceremonies will be held in municipal assemblies, as well as concerts, exhibitions and other cultural activities.
