Minister Hoxha in meeting with Minister Kneissl calls for Austria's support regarding visa liberalization and especially during the chairmanship of the EU Presidency

Prishtina, 26 March 2018 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha met today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria, Karin Kneissl, and discussed about the latest developments in Kosovo regarding the European integration agenda.

Minister Hoxha informed Minister Kneissl about the work being done by Kosovo's institutions, mainly in fulfilment of the European Reform Agenda and the implementation of the SAA. Also, the Minister discussed about recent developments regarding ratification of the demarcation with Montenegro as a long-awaited success with which Kosovo fulfilled the last condition for visa liberalization.

Minister Hoxha called for Austria's support for the visa liberalization process, and in general, for Kosovo's integration agenda, especially because Austria will take over the chairmanship of the EU Presidency by mid-year. Minister Kneissl highly praised the work being done by the Kosovo institutions, and pledged to provide comprehensive support, expertise and support for the reforms.

In the meeting was also discussed about the acceleration of the integration process, where Minister Hoxha noted that she has repeatedly sought consensus among all political parties regarding the integration agenda, by stressing that European integration has no other alternative.
