Deputy Minister

ANILA STATOVCI - DEMAJDeputy Minister in the Ministry of European Integration

 Anila Statovci - Demaj was appointed as a Deputy Minister in November 2016.


She was born in Prishtina where she continued her education all the way until finishing the studies in the Faculty of Economics of the University of Prishtina. After graduating she worked for a while as an assistant professor in this faculty until she went for doctoral studies in Vienna at the University of Economics and Business Administration. In 2003 she was certified as an internal auditor in the American Institute of Internal Audit.


In 1999 she began working with the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in the Office of Internal Audit where she remained until 2007, when she was transferred to Prishtina, with the OSCE Mission in Kosovo. She has a long experience working in higher education structures, and even more in international administration. Recently, in May 2014, she was also engaged in the political life when she joined the team of the Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi as a Political Adviser. In June of 2015 she was appointed as the Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology until November 2016.


Anila lives in Prishtina, she is married to Veton Demaj and has a son, Dion.





RITA HAJZERAJ - BEQAJDeputy Minister in the Ministry of European Integration

Rita Hajzeraj-Beqaj, is born on 07.09.1982 in Istok. She has finished primary and secondary school in her hometown, university studies in Prishtina, teaching branch, and she has attended post-graduate studies on Diplomacy and International Relations in Prishtina, and Mass communications and journalism. She is certified in various international programs, and certified by the United States Department of State She is official for educational issues in the international leadership program in the USA; on social, political and economic issues.

She is certified by Prishtina Institute PIPS on Political Studies for ";;;;democracy";;;;, governance and political communications; certified by the Summer University for Democracy and Political Studies at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. She has been MP for two terms in the Assembly of Kosovo; is member of the Presidency of the Democratic League of Kosovo; has been deputy minister in the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare and now Deputy Minister of European Integration!
